This book helped me understand so much about the characterization process - I will return to it many times for reference. Incredible resource for fiction writers.

33.0% ""When readers pick up your story, they want it to be good. They want to care about the people in your story. They want to believe. They're on your side. That honeymoon with the readers lasts about three paragraphs in a short story, two pages or so with a novel.""

S.J. Pajonas I'm glad you liked this! OSC is a great writer and has a lot of good insights on what makes a story go from ok to excellent.
