This gets a generous, in my opinion, 3 stars because it started out strong. However, it quickly devolved into an over-the-top cliche of the tortured and slightly creepy older man and the younger, naive, spineless girl. They kept making the same mistakes in communication. Honestly, I found it difficult to like any of the characters and, by the end, it came off as heavy-handed and preachy, though I'm not sure what it was supposed to be preaching.
