I found Frank's spin on the elemental nature of demons to be quite interesting as well as the circumstances that take place to force them into becoming the winged, cloven horned and hooved archetype most of us are familiar with. But my goodness is her prose purple! I've read my share of flowery authors in the past, such as Feehan, and I'm not sure if I'm acquiring an intolerance for the style or if it's just this particular author, but I found the purpleness of this book to be very distracting.
