This was a great book. I've always enjoyed King's writing style, even during passages that would give me nightmares for months afterward. The characters (good and evil) and their development were excellent, and the narration style was quite gripping. The buildup toward the climax had me on the edge, right up until the actual 'climax' that is. Thereafter, I found myself wondering if that was it. I expected something different, something more, though I'm not sure what. Even so this was well worth the time it took to read all 1000+ pages. I may even pick it up again some day!

Kendrawesome You know, I keep meaning to try reading some King (Dark Tower wasn't for me, though), so would this be a good place to start?

Helen This is an incredibly long one and sometimes feels like a slog. I would start with either "Salem's Lot" or "The Shining." Both really, really good and different from various respective film adaptations."The Dark Half" was decent as well.
