The stories in this collection all have to do with a holiday. That is the theme that ties them all together and works quite well in my opinion. The intresting thing was that I found the stories to be too long to be true short stories and too short to be novellas.....they sort of fell somewhere between. The only author with whom I have previous experience was Kim Harrison and her contribution(Two Ghosts for Sister Rachel) was well done. I was not thrilled with the story from Lynsay Sands (Run, Run, Rudolph). The "romance" element was a little to heavy for my liking. The story presented by Marjorie M. Liu(Six) was by far my favorite. It presented a very different spin on the vampire mythos. I will be on the lookout for further offerings from her for sure. The last story(The Harvest) was by Vicki Petterson and was intresting in its presentation of zodiac/superhero characters. Overall the collection was a good read.
