Full of interesting facts about Lincoln, Garfield, and McKinley, and their respective assassinations, this just wasn't my kind of book. I find that most nonfiction books lack structure. I enjoyed the facts it contained and would love to recall them in relevant situations, but the wandering nature of the book makes that hard. To be honest, I didn't even make it through most of the Garfield and McKinley chapters. Vowell's obsession with the assassinations and with visiting random sites across the country with tangential relationships to the subject got to be very trying. In the end, I just couldn't find it in myself to care. Meh.
