I wanted to like this more than I actually did. Two main story lines. An American couple moves to a small town in France for his work. While there she starts to trace back her family tree to her French roots. The other story is the ancestor who lives at the time of Calvin when Protestants are trying to stop the worship by Catholics. Unfortunately I did not really like the main, modern day character, and didn't buy into dreams helping lead her search. I was glad I listened to the story because there was a lot of French names and words spoken which I might have skipped past if reading.
