I'm a political geek, so to me this was a great read. It read as an authoritative account of what happened during the 2008 election, but with all real life events, no one comes out looking brilliant. I did end up having more sympathy for some of the players.

I didn't watch this election as closely as I watched the 2000 election, so there was a lot of happenings I didn't know about. The book was written in an easy to read style - you felt like you were reading a great story. I'm not sure if it would make a good research text - they conducted their interviews on deep cover, so no sources are cited. But as a fascinating read, this was brilliant.
