Read in January, 2012

charming story with some interesting characters and cultural comparisons.
Major Pettigrew was a conformist who found himself involved with a woman who
was definitely not accepted by the major's social group nor his snobbish son.
For me, some of the most humorous passages included those thoughts that the Major
had about his son and why his son's values were so askew.
The Major learned that possessions, that is, his gun that he obsessed about, don't matter
that much.
Just a good read for a "stay inside" day and a cup of tea.
