Coben continues to delight with thrillers that offer something mysterious happening to common people.. in this case we see the trials and turmoils of parents as they seek to find the right balance between "spying" and "trusting" their kids. Injected into this story is the suicide of a teen that took place before the novel's beginning, an apparent seriel killer, a child humiliated by a teacher's mistake and the cruelty of other children. What we end up with is a crackerjack, mind-blowing, race against time as one clue after another is uncovered that suggest that the suicide might have been murder and then all of the seemingly unrelated threads all come together at the end... WOW! WOW!

While I really like the Bolitar novels by this author... this one dealt with parental ethics\responsibility in such a dramatic and entertaining method that I just have to marvel at how the author seems to discuss such in-depth issues without losing pace and without forgetting that he is writing a thriller.. a thriller that actually thrills....
