Read from January 12 to 21, 2012

When I started this book, I thought it was a bit contrived, but as I read on, I decided Weiner was genuine in his search, but his habits as a journalist kept poking through, trying to fill in gaps and create a cohesive storyline that may not have existed otherwise. He mainly turned to his depression to tie all the experiences together. I felt that was unnecessary, and detracted a little as he tried to employ it.

It is not a scholarly look at religion. It has good humor and some good nuggets of insight. Overall, it is a humorous memoir and should be read as such.
