it was amazing
Read in June, 1997

I normally will not read war related books. I picked this book up on a whim and loved it. Actually, I spent a summer by the pool reading Winds of War and the sequel War and Remembrance – both were equally impressive, detailed and easy to read. The vivid descriptions of life during these times, the description of concentration camps and what happened there was extraordinary and frightening. I felt the information was factual – which is Herman Wouk’s forte, researching the details to assure the truth. This type of writing defines a good writer, one who cares about showing what really happened.
