it was amazing
bookshelves: to-read-again

This is easily one of the most enjoyable books I've ever read, which surprised the shit out of me since I'm one of those people who never really took Stephen King very seriously as a writer. Wrong. Though I came to this book with a significant interest in Kennedy and Oswald, I do not think that's at all a prerequisite. This book is not perfect but it's got a really compelling storyline, nicely developed and likable characters (except the ones who are not meant to be likable), clever but not too clever dialogue, an emotional core, and a moving end. As a side note, it's also a freakishly effective advertisement for root beer. Seriously, you will buy a root beer. It will not taste like it must have in 1958.
