“White Horse” by Alex Adams, published by Emily Bestler Books.

Category – Horror

There are three types of people left in the world, the dead, the dying, and those that may be immune from the White Horse disease. The disease was brought about by an unscrupulous owner of a pharmaceutical company.

Zoe is an employee of the company. She cleans cages and floors but finds herself on a journey that will test every fabric of her being. Her journey begins when she sees everyone around her dying and the President of the United States telling the country that human beings are no longer a viable species.

Zoe has befriended, Nick Rose, a psychiatrist who has helped her cope with what seems to a post-apocalyptic where not only is the White Horse disease rampant but the entire world is at war.

Nick decides that he must return to Greece it hopes of finding his parents, not knowing that Zoe is carrying his child.

Zoe makes the decision to follow him and encounters strange and odd characters that both hinder and help her in her search for Nick. She sees both the best and the worst in mankind, but never falters in her belief of a better world for her, Nick, and the baby.

A very good read for those who enjoy a little horror, science fiction, and mythology.
