Now this book becoming on my top "Likes" is really amazing. I totally do not usually read descriptive war/military books. Only because I don't "get it" history-wise or weaponry etc. But this book captivated my attention from page one. Even the hard-to-read parts of a POW camp during WWII, altho hard to read, captured my attention. I understand WWII finally. I never got the Pacific and the European fronts. I didn't pay much attention in high school history, obviously. Anyway, at one point towards the end of the book, I actually clutched it to my heart! It was that emotional for me. I will not give away the chapter or event, but many of you will get it.
