Read from January 12 to February 10, 2012

The final book in the Collegia Magica series and like the rest of the series it is rather formal in its style, not as 'warm' as other Berg books. The characters, as i've come to expect from Berg, are intriguing, well rounded, likeable, even Dante, whose head we are in for the most part, as he deals with the 'demon prism' of the title and comes to terms with his own nature and fate. But it has a far more complex plot, like the rest of the series, and I found it hard to get into at the start. It's not really a book that has kept me up late at night, wanting to read more, as the lighthouse duology or song of the beast has, but it's enjoyable and the ending is satisfying.
