An illustrated biography of Martin Luther King, Jr. told, in part, in his own words. Illustrator Collier uses a mixed media collage to illustrate this inspiring account. The collage represents a melding of different media just as America is a melding of different people. He repeatedly uses stained glass windows as a metaphor. This is an amazing class resource for learning about Martin Luther King, Jr. and Black History Month. It should be in all libraries and elementary classrooms.
