Angels and demons (who are really fallen angels) are in a race against time for dominance. As their battle plays out on earth, a secret government agent and a disgraced college professor are trying to unravel the clues to the violence and destruction occurring around the world. When they finally realize there is something supernatural going on and it is tied to Milton's Paradise Lost, the demons are on the verge of defeating the Archangel Michael. This is a fast paced thriller. I like the ties with Paradise Lost, however I confess I'm not crazy over this type of book. I read this for a book club. It was good, but not really my cup of tea.
