Believe it or not, this is the first Stephen King book I've ever read. In fact, I've actively avoided his stuff my entire life. Now I'm wondering what I missed. If anyone has any suggestions, please send 'em my way. I'm itchy to read something else by him.
Yes this is a scary book, but there was one thing that kept me laughing during the entire 600-plus pages. There's a character who peppers his conversation with the occasional Spanish word. This is not a criticism, just something that tickled me. It sounds like he learned Español from listening to old Santana records.
