it was ok

Much as I liked La carte et le territoire, which I thought was quite subtle and rewarding, this was a bit of a disappointment. I have the feeling it tries to do too much and ends up doing too little. Maybe it's the sustained attempts to shock (oh, come on, get over it, really...) or it could be the SF element that put me off, I don't know, but it somehow didn't add up for me. A struggle to finish, unfortunately, because I was quite looking forward to it.
