These Fancy Nancy books annoy me because they are all about old-timey fancy manners, dressing up and playing important princessy girl. I suppose I should marvel at the clever rhyming skills of the author, or be pleased by her edifying introduction of sophisticated vocabulary to young readers, but I dislike the art and context so much, why bother?
