I liked this book well enough. It is an engaging story. But ultimately, I was disappointed. This book doesn't seem particularly well-written. She seems to rely on the drama of the plot and characters' lives to interest her readers rather than exploration and development. Some of the language is trite and cheap.

Mallary Really? I thought it sounded so good. I trust your judgement.

Amanda Stoddard Rowan It was still worthwhile, though. You might really like it! You might have to read it and tell me if you feel similarly or not before you trust me :)

Mallary Good to know. While I do already trust your opinion, I think I'll still find out how I like it.

Sinda1 I just saw the movie not long ago. I am not an English major nor have the gift of writing. English yet is my second language. It was a tragic story and I was convinced how cruel humans can be. I would be more disturbed had I read the book.
