Anike is an artist hired by the prince to visually record every possible moment of the visit by ambassadors of a neighboring country of Marana. Anike finds the brothers to be fascinating since he has never seen their race, with long faces with sharply slanted features, their oval irises and slightly iridescent skin. This book had so much unrealized potential. It is very short and seems more like an outline for a longer story. There is nothing wrong with the story yet after reading it I am left feeling confused. I don’t know anything about these characters and very little of the world that they live in. I have absolutely no idea at all why the brothers were interested in Anike and there was no real relationship development between the three. I was even disappointed that the sex was mostly off screen. Like I said, this isn’t bad, there just isn’t much of a story there.
