it was ok
bookshelves: mystery
Read from January 09 to February 12, 2012

I was able to put this book down and forget about it. Nothing about this story made me want to keep reading it, but I forced myself to. It seemed like so many other John Grisham books, yet not as gripping as my favorites, A Time to Kill and The Client.

Basic storyline that's been recycled: Young lawyer becomes part of a big firm and becomes disillusioned while fighting a corrupt outside force.

A few moments 2/3 of the way through the book were exciting, but they were treated so clinically that the momentum immediately fizzled.

The ending of this book was fine, just like a small vanilla ice cream cone. Nothing exciting. Nothing unpredictable. Just blah.
