This one comes reccomended to me by my teenage son. He read his first Vince Flynn book on a plane ride home about a year ago.

He was so taken with it that he has now acquired almost the entire catalog of Flynn books.

Bewing a Jack Higgins and Danial Silva fan i thought i would give it a try.

It turned out to be ok in my opinion. Nothing to get overly excited about, I still think Silva is better. I would give this a 3.5 but of course we cant do that with Goodreads.

This is also the first book chronologically of the Mitch Rapp character so there was a good bit of back ground to cover. This was actually an enjoyable part of the read for me. His training and how he reacts to it was fun.

The other "main" character - Hurley is hilarious - I just love him

I hope he stays in the other books.

I will give the next book a go just to make sure all the background of this book did not put me off to a good series.

If you like spy novels in the modern era you will most likely enjoy this one.
