This was an enjoyable book. A fairly easy read. I've been think about finding the BBC documentary series mentioned to see how the two go together. The book gives the impression that it only lightly covers topics that the program showed in more depth. If that's the case, kudos. I picked up this book because I was in an animal story phase and liked the idea of a smattering of everything in the zoo. Not the case. I'd say it deals more with the people but it's written with typical English reserve when it comes to discussing anyone elses lives. Still, enjoyable read and would recommend it for anyone looking for a quick, relaxing read.
