I love JD Robb and this is my all time favorite of all the books in the series. Eve and Rourke are fascinating characters. On the outside they are as different as two people can be, but their pasts both hold pain and violence. Eve in particular is closed off from developing personal relationships so its all the more interesting to see her fall in love and develop friendships. As you can tell, I'm more interested in the characters, but the plots are good and made even more interesting by the fact that they are set in the future which in some ways is not so different from today, and in others is vastly different from today.
