it was ok
bookshelves: historical, fiction, grail, france, time, slip, novel

I picked up this book, expecting to love it. It's got all the ingredients to make a fantastic read: interesting medieval/modern france setting, time travel, new take on the holy grail etc. etc. Overall it was disappointing however. I read another review of this somewhere - the reviewer said he just didn't care enough about what was happening to the characters. I've got to say I agree. The historical setting was quite interesting, making me vaguely want to learn more about medieval France, but the plot seemed confusing and convoluted. The writing quality was alright, but could have been better.
