it was amazing

This is the first Eisler novel I've read, and I'm going to read all the others.

This novel has a torrid pace that kept me up after 2 am two nights in a row. It combines interesting and appealing characters, a fascinating plot, and white knuckle suspense.

What it has that so many other thrillers do not have is a fascinating premise underlying the story - not simply the erosion of our civil liberties in response to the threat of terrorism, but the dull complacency with which Americans seem to accept it.

Eisler's writing has a literary quality to it that I enjoy more than others in the genre.
