The stories in this book are at times heartbreaking but do give some hope that things will be better for the bullied when they get older.
One thing is clear for almost every author and that is the lack of real help from all bystanders; peers, teachers, school administrators and parents often did nothing to help. We continue to have a lot to do to help both the bullied and the bullies. Social media has made it easier for them to hurt each other inside and outside of school.
This collection also reminded me of some of the kids that bullied us in elementary school and times when I was maybe not so nice to friends and times when my own children were confronted with bullies.
