This book as well as a couple more by this author have been on my shelf for a couple of years now. A friend recently read another book by this author and raved about it, so I started reading them. The books I have read so far seem to follow the lives of the Buchanan brothers. I like the continuity of characters through the different books and I like the light romance with mystery intertwined.

In this book Alec has decided his future is in Boston with the FBI and immediately after turning in his resignation with the Chicago PD, he gets "saddled" with body guard duty for Regan, a wealthy hotel mogul. For the better part of three weeks he is with her for every waking hour of the day. Of course he's the "all-American" type and of course she is drop-dead gorgeous and a bit relationship challenged/naive. (Seemed to be the case with the other book I read as well - but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the story.)

Regan has a stalker... anything more might give the story away, and I don't want to ruin it. I am generally pretty good at guessing twists and such, but Julie Garwood has a knack at dropping at least one bomb shell in each book that I have read so far. Just when you think you can guess the outcome and twists for a book like this - she gets you...
