really liked it

Russia at the turn of the century, dirt on the Romanov family...yes. I like this period, even though my sympathies lie more with the (very early) Soviet era. This is a fictionalized memoir of Mathilde Kschessinskya (spelling?), prima ballerina and mistress of Nicholas Ii. If you remember the '70s drama Nicholas and Alexandra, you will like this. The writing is pretty good, too--at least for books of this type.
