bookshelves: memoir, religion-and-spirituality

This memoir is a wonderful journey with Winner through her process of spiritual development. Converting from Orthodox Judaism to Christianity, Winner describes the changes she went through, intellectually and emotionally. Winner is a scholar of history and religion, and offers an interesting perspective on reading the Bible and life as a Christian. As a person with a slightly complicated religious life, I really enjoyed the way the author integrated her experiences in a way that made sense of both the Jewish and Episcopalian lenses she has seen life through. I need to read more of her books: if this is the way she thought and wrote ten years ago as a twenty-something graduate student, I am eager to know where her journey took her and what she is thinking and writing now.
