Kristina Snow is the perfect daughter: gifted high school junior, quiet, never in any trouble. She decides to take a trip to see her deadbeat father. Kristina disappears and Bree takes her place. Bree is the exact opposite of Kristina. She's fearless. Through a boy, Bree tried crank (a drug). And what begins as a good time turns into a new life from hell.

Warning! Plot Spoilers and Discussion Below.

16-year-old Kristina’s addiction to crank makes her turn into a whole new person. Kristina’s daring alter ego, Bree, emerges when there’s nothing to do and no one to connect with. Visiting her neglectful and druggy father for the first time in years.
Of course, there is this boy that Kristina meets who is not a good boy. Kristina unleashes her inner bad girl, Bree, because she desperately wants to attract Adam.

She then starts doing crank with him. Crank is awesome at first. She gets all this energy. She gets cleaning done. She finds courage to flirt. Then she crashes and burns! The rush is irresistible and she’s hooked, despite a horrible crank-related incident with the boy’s other girlfriend.

Back home with her mother, Kristina feels ignored and , needing more drugs and more boys. One boy is wonderful, but it’s crank holding Bree up at this point. Kristina gets raped! She keeps her baby. Well that wasn’t a good idea. While she is on crank, she starts treating the baby terrible. She puts crank before her baby.

Setting: The setting is in New Mexico were she visits her father. It is also in Nevada were she lived with her mother.

Protagonist: The protagonist is Kristina. At first she seems like a alright person. Once she got to her dads everything changed. She started doing drugs and getting with every guy in New Mexico. Then I wasn’t to fond of her. Once she started miss-treating her baby, that was it. I didn’t like her at all. The only time she changed was when she got to her fathers house. Besides that she pretty much continued screwing up her life.

Antagonist: The antagonist was Adam but mostly the Crank! Adam got Kristina in to crank, which basically made her ruin her life. At the same time the Crank did the same thing. She loved the way it made her feel! So much that she continued doing. I really wish that Kristina wouldn’t have met Adam or was introduced to crank.

Conflict: The conflict is that you cant have something put in front of you at the age of 15, being so naïve, and not to be expected to try it. You have got to be smart enough to not get hooked! Don’t try to make people want you. Be yourself! Be real.
