really liked it
bookshelves: 2012, supernatural-paranormal, angels-and-demons
Read from February 19 to 20, 2012

So here's the deal: Clara is stuck in one of those nasty love triangles. And she's being hunted by a fallen angel. Oh, and she's part angel herself. So Hallowed is basically one of those paranormal self-discovery romances with a dash of humor. Those are my favorite kind

The excerpts of poetry in Cynthia Hand's sequel to Unearthly inspired me to attempt to write a lyrical-type review. Here goes nothing:

The angelic words of Hand's hand
Were a bit marred by predictability

But predictability is forgiven
Due to my unhealthy fascination for Nephilim
*cough* The Mortal Instruments *cough*

I was hypnotized by the cover
And bewitched by the storyline

I swooned at the romantics
And gaped at the superpowers

Cynthia Hand,
I beg of you,
Please write a sequel!

I admit, it's not very rhymey or touching or anything, but it writing in poem form feels faster than just reviewing normally.

And now, I present to you THE CHALLENGE:

Review a book (any book) in prose, too. I dare you to. Oh, and you can blame me for any words/feelings hurt in the process.
