really liked it
bookshelves: children-s-chapter, historical-fiction, ya, adventure
Read from January 06 to 14, 2012

Another thrilling installment of the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness! Actually, I found it more exciting than the first in the series which I read several years ago. In this book, Torak thinks he is safe until a strange sickness shows up. Torak, through his search for a cure, and guilt at possibly having caused the sickness, discovers his true identity and destiny. Along the way, friendships are both formed and tested. Recommended for readers 9-14 yrs. who enjoy adventure, stories with animals, coming of age/hero quests, and books in general! A special thanks to my nephew who not only reminded me to read the remaining books in this series, but also lent me his copy of Spirit Walker.
