This is such an amasing book. The writing is clear and simple yet the story is so complex and smart. This book is so different than I thought it would be and left me in tears. The message the monster gives is one that seemed simple yet complex like the story itself and left my mind spinning in a hundred different directions. I also felt all the emotions. I eyes stung with tears of frustration, sadness, loss and anger, seeming to match those feelings of the boy in the book. The art work too is wonderful. I would have never bought this book, and only picked it up as it was in the libary but I am so grateful I did. I wish to buy this book now and lend it to everyone I know and love as well as keep it for when I have kids in the hope they learn from it when they are old enough to understand. I wish so badly I had read this book before I left high school as it would have tought me so much.
