This is a superb and concise collection of thoughtful essays on Watchmen by some of the biggest names in comics scholarship, along with some qualified newcomers. It contains several essays that had me thinking for hours after I read them. My own essay covers WATCHMEN and revisionism, trying to place the mini-series within the context of comics history. It also examines WATCHMEN as a parallel universe, in which the changes from our own timeline go back further than one might suspect. This is a really enjoyable book, and I recommend it strongly.
