I think this had the potential to be a good book about post-partum depression but the author missed the mark. This is a modern day story of a woman with learning disablilities, who has depression issues. I keep asking myself, where was her "good" sister and her doctors, when this woman keeps getting pregnant (9 times) in 10 years of marriage. She miscarried 5 times. There were obvious issues but no one got this woman help. I might have liked this book better if it had been told from Simone's point of view though I am not sure about this. The only two characters I had any empathy for, were Merrell and Ty, Roxanne's husband. I just felt like this book was disjointed

Viki I agree! The author could not decide if Simone was a sympathetic or evil character. Very timely topic...I want to give it a 3 but will probably give it a 2, as well.
