In some ways, this book was typical Lewis Black. Lots of cursing and, at least I'd imagine, many phrases that would be shouted if this were an audio book. However, while the author at least claimed to try to be writing a book about Christmas, he really ended up writing a book about himself. In the book, he often comes across as somewhat pathetic and lonely. Though almost everyone of these characterizations ends with him saying something along the lines of, "Oh well. It's for the best. I wouldn't want that anyway," it becomes a bit hard to believe. The way it was read makes the reader wonder if Mr. Black accidentally made the book much more personal than he ever intended to. Putting these somewhat awkward moments aside, the book did have a lot of humor in it, and was mostly enjoyable.
