Jefferey and Tad have gone to the gym's workout room to do their physical therapy and they start talking about the letter that the superintendent sent to the parents. When Jefferey admits that he hasn't told his parents about the letter yet, Tad comes up with the plan to give him some tudoring without having to talk about the Test. Although Jefferey is having doubts about the whole thing, he still gives it a try, with the thought of the deal that they made in the work-out room. The Deal was that Tad would tudor Jefferey to pass the test, and Jefferey would help strengthen Tad so that he can walk across the stage at 8th Grade Graduation. Together they agree to work as a team to graduate and become strengthened. ALthough it is hard, Jefferey is willing to give it a try for Tad. The next day in class, Jefferey's class is told to write about someone that they really care about. Jefferey chooses his brother, Steven, while also remembering the fight that Steven had with his parents when he made the choice to make his own choices. Will Jefferey be able to go through this without steven? After all Steven was by his side through the ups-and-downs of the cancer.
