One of my favorite novels, this book has it all!
In this, the 6th in the Mary Russell Series, Russell and Holmes visit old friends in a famous English country estate. Mary’s breath is taken away by it’s beauty and heritage and so was mine with the vivid account of it’s sights and sounds. The story is set in the turmoil following WWI and pulls at the heartstrings as we learn the details of one of the many lives altered by this tragic time in history. Ms. King ‘s writing is detailed, picturesque, emotional and sprinkled with humor. This is a multi-faceted mystery, ending with hope and JUSTICE for all!
