Engaging and sensual story about a woman who trains dogs and who works with authorities on missing person searches with her own dogs. She identifies customer's dogs that have the potential to become tracking dogs and meets one dog owner who slowly, often reluctantly, becomes a part of her life. The story revolves around an incident that occured earlier in her life with a now-imprisioned murderer. Her life is slowly transformed as this past event starts to interfere, or possibly accelerates, her evolving relationship with a mysterious, exciting, introverted artist, who becomes attracted to her despite a strong desire to remain independent.

The story grows intense, on all levels, as her past once again seems destined reinsert itself. The ensuing mystery, drama and love create a great read and leaves vivid memories of a growing love affair between an unlikely pair. There are many contests in this story and it is hard to stop reading as they unfold. Loved it, but wouldn't recommend it to my daughter. (graphic).
