I enjoyed this romantic historical novel of Vienna before the war and
England during the onset of WWII. We follow Elise Landau out of AUstria
as a maid to a wealthy English family, while her parents wait for their visas to AMerica. It is very good story telling we a love story and homage to Rebecca, the du Maurier classic.
