Imagine life on your planet was not that important, and that everyone only cared about computer game. Welcome to New Earth. Here, people spend most of their lives on a computer and a device able of "clipping you up" so that you are literally inside the game! New Earth was found thousands of years before and Epic is relatively new, founded in the last 100 years. The main governing body is called Central Allocations. They treat people unfairly and poorly. In their so called utopian society, lives Erik, with his friends playing Epic as the Osterfjord players in their home town of Osterfjord and farm for most of their lives. Erik is living well and all of a sudden is life takes a dip as his father is taken away and in order to save him, Erik must bend the rules of Epic with his friends to save his father, defeat Central Allocations, and end Epic once and for all. I liked this book because of its interesting story line, and the way it is written in 1st person. I really liked all of the fighting scenes and how Erik relates Epic to his own life. I recommend this book to anyone! Bloody vengeance! READ THE BOOK!
