Till We Have Faces is a book written by C.S. Lewis as an allegory to the Christian life using characters from Greek mythology. It is, of course, well-written, the plot-line is well thought out and executed perfectly. I think C.S. Lewis is a truly great writer and have appreciated his books and stories read prior to this one.

My problem? Well...I did not enjoy reading the book, identify with any of the characters, or see the allegory very clearly. According to those I spoke with about my problem, it was a matter of perception. Being that we are reading the story in third person we are hearing their perception and then attempting to perceive the meaning to the book ourselves.

I think I shall put this book away for a while and take it out to re-read in the future. According to those I know and trust, I might enjoy this more with a fresh start, a new perspective.
