This book is a sort of 'high romance'. Our lead is a beautiful Noblewoman fleeing the fleeting and superficial life she leads in London for her husband's estate in the country. There are pirates! A pirate is secreting himself in a cove on her property. He is, of course, not a real pirate. No, no. He is a Frenchman, a nobleman himself, who has taken to a life of piracy for the danger and thrill of it.

They fall madly in love- but slowly and chastely. . .

Absolutely hilarious. It's an adorable read. Read it while relaxing in the garden, and fantasize about your own handsome french pirate who will come to sweep you off your feet!
