Have you ever wanted to be in a group so badly you would do just about anything to get in? Well this is just how Claire Lyons feels in "Best friends for never", the sequel to Lisi Harrison's new series The Clique. While living in New York CIty she developed and created shows For MTV, which she bases a lot of her writing off of. Her books are mainly about cliques and how hard it is to be the new girl in the group. I would definitely recommend these books to younger girls in middle school, they give you hope and realizing that you need to be yourself no matter the situation.
I really enjoyed reading this book i kept my attention very well and it wasn't boring. The parts that i really enjoyed was when Massie Block (the leader of the clique) genuinely liked Claire and accepted her for who she was. They were able to have great talks and discussions and you were able to see Massie for who she really was. She was a person who was genuinely scared and very vulnerable in situations when you think she wasn't. Honestly the only thing i didn't really care for must was the fact that is wasn't really that realistic there aren't people at school that people are just so scared of and bow down to because they are popular.
Overall the book was very good and Lisi Harrison did a great job in showing girls that the person that you always think is so perfect really isn't as perfect as you may think she or he has real feelings and get hurts just like you do. It is a really great book i certainly recommend it to any girl looking for a good book. You will learn very good life lessons about to treat people and how not to treat people. Even if you don't read the book always remember to treat people with respect and always be nice to people. Also remember that people can change so don't judge a book by its cover no matter how bad it might be, everyone has good qualities in them.
