I enjoyed this first book of the Inn Boonsboro Trilogy! I loved getting to meet all of the different characters and see how they interact with each other throughout the story. I'm not going to give a description of the book, you can get that by reading the back cover or looking it up but it was GREAT! I love Clare and Beckett and the process that took them from the beginning to the end of this story. The relationship the Montgomery boys have with their Mom is heartwarming and I enjoyed the understanding Beckett had of how such relationships work with regards to Clare's children. The characters are just great, I can't say enough about them. I enjoyed the little twist of suspense as well even if it was somewhat predictable. I have to say, this story gave me a sense of feeling like I was included in all the work that was being done on the Inn. I felt like I was just as much a part of the work as the characters that were in the story. I love that feeling and I enjoy that the small community all felt a part of it as well. Though I do enjoy the teaser at the end of this book I can't help but wish it was already May of 2012. Unlike other books I have read in 'series' this book feels more like there wasn't any time lapse between books. Usually I get a sense of missing something or that the author didn't connect one ending of a book to the next books beginning but I didn't get the feeling with this trilogy at all. Of course all I have to go on is the first chapter to the next book that is included in this one but it feels like it picks up where this one left off. I can't wait for the 2nd in the trilogy!!
