Great way to follow what was a self-contained trilogy. Unlike so many fantasy series, Sanderson allows his created world to move forward technologically, somewhat shaped by the magic that people possess. So what was a series that used the middle ages as a template (like most fantasies do) has now become one that has more in common with westerns. And it still works.

The characters are great, the story is fun and Sanderson continues to have his characters use their powers in inventive ways. While it does have an ending, there are hints for a larger story, one I hope he gets to soon.
